Video Project
What is old and what is new in art?
New, in art, is new ways of looking at things. For example, Jackson Polluck decided to look at paint as paint. Old, in art, are specific techniques such as the uses of space.
How is art used in everyday life?
Art is everything. Everything you see has some artistic element to it.
How and why is art used as a form of communication?
Art is used to express ourselves when words are just not enough. Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words.
How are problem solving skills used in art?
You have to use problem solving skills to decide what medium is best for your project.
Why do artists produce preleminary plans?
Artists have prelimenary plans so they know exactly what the are doing. It makes them perpared.

Project Description
For the movie project we split up into groups and thought of a topic for our video. There was a rubric that had different sections like lighting, angles, and other filming techniques. We first sketched out our initial thoughts on a storyboard. The next couple days we focused on the lighting portion of the rubric by shooting silhouette scenes and shooting outside when we saw it was stormy (which was something we needed for the rubric). Then we focused on different camera angles throughout the scenes we shot. We used our gained knowledge of stop-motion animation to make credits too. Overall we used what we learned in Digital Arts and followed the rubric to try and make our video a success.

Original
I used the pen tool to copy the iris and made another layer of the iris. Then, I went to the hue and saturation window to change the eye color.
Original
I made Kong a different color by creating another layer, then, I made it a soft layer. I took a feathered brush and covered Kong.
Name Project
To create the Name Project, I first added a wallpaper that I found on the internet, then, I went and took pictures that had the letters in my name. I then copy and pasted them onto the wallpaper. Then, I added a title.
Landscape Project
I learned from this project how to use foreground, middleground, and background. In the foreground things need to be very detailed in large. Middleground is slightly less detailed and is medium sized. The background is blurry and small. These proportions matter because without them the photoshopped picture would not look very realistic. Tools that I found helpful in this project were the pen tool, eraser, hue and saturation, and the quick selection tool. The zipped and extracted files is that zipped files are files that are condensed versions of large files. Zipping a file makes it easier to transport. An extracted file is an zipped file that became unzipped.
